Review of the Movie:

The movie I think was fantastic. I mean I’m the person who tries to understand the movie so much that I totally related to it. :)) I mean at first it may be boring if it wasn’t your type of movie (I must be honest the first time watched it, I totally dozed off.), but if you understand the story, you know it’s deep. So deep. But honestly, I didn’t understand the story the first and second time I watched the movie. I had to re-watch the move 3 – 5 times to fully understand the story. But still the movie was great. ;)

Rating 4 out of 5 ;)

Comparison of the Movie to the Book:

The movie was so different to the book. I mean of course, it left out tons of information in the book. Like there are a lot of scenes that should have been in the movie that was important to the book. Compared to the book, the movie was so jumpy with the scenes. Scenes that were removed that should not have been moved. Ugh It was just so different. The concept was still there but it was so hard to picture out. That’s all I can say before I say anything that might spoil anything. =))

The Fault In Our Stars Novel vs. The Fault In Our Stars Movie

Review of the Movie:
… This movie is just A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! I seriously did not want to leave the cinema when I watched this movie. No words can describe how much I love this movie. I really want to watch it again. Even though this movie made me cry a bucket full of tears, I want to re-watch it over and over again. Even though you are a person who haven’t read the book yet, you will certainly love the movie! My boyfriend did not read the book but he totally enjoyed the movie. That is how good the movie is! Words just can’t describe how much I love love love this movie!
5 out of 5!! *hearts everywhere*

Comparison to the Book:
As a book adaptation… It was sooooo good!!! Minor details were left out but everything that you expect to be in the movie is there! Almost everything that I expected to be in the movie is in there! The eulogy part was just how I imagined it to be. And John Green wasn’t lying and being biased when he said that the movie is as close as it can be to the book (yes, I watch John Green’s videos and I am also subscribed to him *laughs*). It was just amazing however you can actually notice how much the ending part lacked so many parts in the book but it still worked perfectly! Ughh. Just amaaazing!! I’ll stop here now. Bye guys!

The Perks of Being A Wallflower Book Review!

20140525-202509.jpg

Summary/ Short Description:
Charlie is a Freshman and while he’s not biggest the geek in the school, he is by no means popular. Shy, introspective, intelligent beyond his years, yet socially awkward, he is a wallflower, caught between trying to live his life and trying to run from it. Charlie is attempting to navigate his way through uncharted territory: the world of first dates and mixed tapes, family dramas and new friends; the world of sex, drugs and the rocky horror picture show, when all one requires is that perfect song on that perfect drive to feel infinite. But Charlie can’t stay on the sideline forever. Standing on the fringes of life offers a unique perspective. But there comes a time to see what it looks like from the dance floor.

Review:
Another book that is totally out of my comfort zone. I must tell you though this book is so real. I mean you know that this can happen to anyone. One person might be actually undergoing this state right now. And that I totally relate to Charlie when you know he was just this person observing everything, give all the opportunity to others and not yourself. I totally know how that feels. However, this book made my brain go in circles that sometimes I had to go back another day (since the book is written in diary/letter form) just to fully understand what was happening. But I love how the book was written, due to the fact that it was unique. But this book just kept me going in circles with all what happened to Charlie. I still liked the book though. I didn’t love it but I liked it. So it was okay for me.
Review: 3.5 out of 5 :)

Will the king’s dark hand strangle all resistance? Eragon may not escape with even his life…

Review:
Hands down to Christopher Paolini for making another wonderful story for readers like me to read. As I keep on reading this series it keeps on drawing me further into it. This book just gave me another world to travel to. I mean seriously, who wouldn’t want to go to Ellesméra right? This book just added another place in my “must go to places” list. Oh and Eragon. The feels I just can’t even… Ugh. You know what friendzone is? Yep. Eragon is in that state. Poor him. Why go to Arya if I’m already here for him? Just kidding. *laughs* Kidding aside, this book was just fantastic. Except for that tiny teeny little ending he had in store for us. Was not actually expecting that. Totally did not expect that. But the three different person’s point of view worked for me. I mean it worked for me, I don’t know with you guys but I thought that it was a brilliant idea. So you know what’s happening in every angle in the story right? And it was written perfectly. That’s all I can say fir now.
Here’s my wonderful rating: 5 out of 5 ;)

Eragon Novel vs. Eragon Movie

Hi guys! I’m sorry that I didn’t post last week. I was just busy. Anyway here’s what I’ll give you today! :)

*Review of the book was already posted please look at the post before this*

Review of Movie:
Since this was a movie waaaaay back let me just say this. It was an amazing movie back at the time. Even my mom loved the movie and she rarely likes this kind of movies. But one thing about the movie was that it was just scattered. Events happening here and there until you get to the part when you’ll just think “Oh okay. We’re at this part already but what happened to this or that.” It was just out of the question on how they put it all together. I just can’t explain how I feel about this movie. It was great but you still think about how scattered it was. And let me tell you this, I’m not a girl who loves the events scattered. I like it just plain and simple and organized. But this, nope, just events were just everywhere.
Rating: 3 out of 5

Comparison to the Novel:
Now, this movie was just a disaster as a book adaptation. It was like throwing the book into little pieces. You know Percy Jackson the Movie? Yeah the adaptation was just like that. Horrible. Ugh it even gives me goosebumps just to think how horrible it was. A lot, let me tell you, A LOT was changed. It was like watching another story with the same characters. And that is a big no no when you talk about movies that adapted a book. I mean, sure some bits can be changed but not the whole storyline. This movie changed almost everything and I did not like it at all. While I was watching this movie for the second time (after reading the book), it was just too much for me to handle. But I needed to finish it just to review it. And it scarred me for life. Ugh. Just a disaster. So disappointing.

Overnight his simple life is shattered, and he is thrust into a perilous new world of destiny, magic, and power. Can Eragon take up the mantle of the legendary Dragon Riders? The fate of the Empire may rest in his hands…

Review:
I’ve been dying to read this book ever since it came out. And sadly I just read it this month (thanks to my friend who lent his book to me). And after the long wait, it was worth it. I was back in my comfort zone to where magical creatures such as elves, dragons, magicians, dwarves and others were roaming the land. It was just heaven for me. And this book was so amazing. I really like how Christopher Paolini discussed the back story thoroughly and slowly in order for the reader to easily understand what was going on even though there were a lot that was going on through out this book. And Saphira? Ooh I just fell in love with her. I also just love how Christopher Paolini had an ancient language going on the story which makes it realistic. And the glossary at the end of the book was just so helpful. I love how he wrote Eragon. Eragon seriously acted like any farm boy who grew from the country. The way he acts, thinks and talks before Brom taught him anything lets you know that he grew up in the farm. I mean, all in all, the characters were written perfectly. Their story just made so much sense once you’ve read through the book. And how they were written was just fantastic as it made clear into my world on how they really look like. Ugh. There are just so many things that I love about this book. I just can’t say it all cause words are not enough how I love this book so much.
And as for my rating 5 out of 5 because it is so perfect.

Summary/ Short Description:
The faction-based society that Tris Prior once believed in is shattered—fractured by violence and power struggles and scarred by loss and betrayal. So when offered a chance to explore the world past the limits she’s known, Tris is ready. Perhaps beyond the fence, she and Tobias will find a simple new life together, free from complicated lies, tangled loyalties, and painful memories.
But Tris’s new reality is even more alarming than the one she left behind. Old discoveries are quickly rendered meaningless. Explosive new truths change the hearts of those she loves. And once again, Tris must battle to comprehend the complexities of human nature—and of herself—while facing impossible choices about courage, allegiance, sacrifice, and love.

Review:
Let me say one thing about this book, VERONICA ROTH HOW DARE YOU WRITE THAT ENDING! I AM SO DISAPPOINTED AT YOU! WHY MUST YOU DO THIS?! WHY?!?! Like seriously, what ending is that huh?! What you just thought that, oh people like the fourtris feels let me destroy it for you, is it like that huh? Okay. Sorry but I just hate the ending. I hate how she divided it in Tris’s POV and Tobias’s POV. I didn’t like it at all. For me, it didn’t actually work cause sometimes Tobias’s POV is boring or can be mixed up with Tris’s. And all the action that happened in Insurgent was just destroyed when it came to Allegiant. It’s just like the THG trilogy again. Catching Fire was amazing same as Insurgent then she gives us Mockingjay which was a horrible ending for the trilogy same with Allegiant. Yeah I guess they gave us the ending that we didn’t expect but come on can’t it be different? Like a little better? I seriously don’t know what to say more.
Anyway here’s my rating: 3.5 out of 5
